2018 Kia Soul

Kia is known for its affordability and reliability. The Kia Soul has therefore represented an excellent choice in the increasingly crowded crossover SUV market since it was first debuted nearly 10 years ago. The 2018 Kia Soul comes in three different trim levels, so you’ll find more options than ever before in the vehicle’s most recent year model.

The quirky naming conventions of the different configurations are your first clue that Kia has set out to make a splash with its new Soul. The three trims are the base Soul, the Soul+, and the Soul! The first two versions can be painted in any combination of Caribbean Blue, Clear White with Inferno Red Roof, Inferno Red with Shadow Black Roof, and Wild Orange color schemes. These options are sure to make an impression on drivers who want to express their individuality.

The Soul!, on the other hand, comes in an upmarket-style glossy black paint job with red accents.

Drive in comfort by taking advantage of the amenities in the vehicle’s cabin. Each version of the 2018 Kia Soul can be equipped with a 7-inch touch screen display to utilize Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. These features come standard in the Soul+ and Soul! models and can even be upgraded to an 8-inch touch screen with HD radio in these trims.

While all three options come with a six-speaker sound system and Bluetooth technology, you may want to consider the Soul! model in order to enjoy leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Choose your favorite version of the Soul secure in the knowledge that the manufacturer takes safety seriously. All three trims are equipped with electronic stability control software, a vehicle stability management system, hill-start assistance, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and electronic brake-force distribution. The 2018 Kia Soul is also constructed with side-impact door beams and front and rear crumple zones to keep you safe in the event of a collision.

Consider the Soul+ if you’re interested in features such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning, as these are only available on this trim level.

The 2018 Kia Soul offers a wonderful way to drive in style without breaking the bank. The base model starts at an MSRP of $16,200, while the Soul+ clocks in at an MSRP of $20,400. The Soul! is only a bit more, with a starting price of $22,900.

If you choose one of the two higher levels of trim, you can also select from Kia’s premium feature packages. These include a Designer Collection Package, an Audio Package, a Sunroof Package, and a Primo Lit Package. These bundles add in plenty of perks for an extra cost ranging from $400 to $4,500.

The 2018 Kia Soul has been consistently praised for its sense of fun and personality in a market that rarely sees serious stylistic innovation. Add in the excellent ride quality, quick acceleration, and overall comfort, and you’ve got a crossover SUV that’s hard to beat.
