There are three certification levels: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Below, you'll find what each level includes and how a pre-owned vehicle qualifies, so you know exactly what coverage comes with the vehicle you choose.

Every Cable Dahmer Certified vehicle includes a powertrain limited warranty. The powertrain includes some of the most expensive parts to repair, so this coverage helps protect you from the cost of major repairs after you buy.
Coverage begins on your purchase date and lasts for the term of your certification level. Covered repairs carry a $100 deductible per repair visit, and documented service records are required to keep your coverage in place.
Here's what's covered in each part of the powertrain.
Engine
The cylinder block, cylinder heads, and all internal lubricated parts, including:
- Pistons, piston rings, and wrist pins
- Connecting rods, rod bearings, and main bearings
- Crankshaft, camshafts, and camshaft bearings
- Followers, lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, rocker shafts, and bushings
- Balance shafts
- Valves, valve seats, valve guides, valve springs, and retainers
- Oil pump, oil pump pickup, and oil pump drive
- Water pump
Transmission and Transfer Case
Automatic transmissions: The transmission case and all internal lubricated parts, including the oil pump, valve body, torque converter, governor, clutches, bushings, shafts, gear sets, bearings, vacuum modulator, dipstick, and tube.
Manual transmissions: The transmission case and all internal lubricated parts, including shafts, bushings, bearings, gear sets, synchronizers, and shift forks.
Transfer cases: The transfer case housing and all internal lubricated parts.
Drive Axle
Front-wheel drive: The drive axle housing and all internal lubricated components, including the carrier case, gear sets, chain and sprockets, bearings, bushings, axle shafts, constant velocity joints, and double offset joints. Joints are not covered if the boot was damaged or missing.
Rear-wheel drive: The drive axle case and all internal lubricated parts, including the carrier, ring and pinion gears, gear sets, bearings, bushings, limited slip clutch pack, axle shafts, drive shafts, drive shaft support, and u-joints.
Four-wheel and all-wheel drive: All components listed for both front-wheel and rear-wheel drive.
Three Levels of Certified Coverage
A vehicle's certification level is based on its model year and its mileage at the time of sale. Newer, lower-mileage vehicles qualify for longer warranty coverage and more included benefits.

24/7 Roadside Assistance and Trip Interruption
All three certification levels include round-the-clock roadside assistance for as long as your warranty is in effect. Roadside benefits pay up to $100 per occurrence for covered services.
- Towing: If a mechanical breakdown leaves your vehicle inoperable, it will be towed to the selling dealership if it's within 50 miles. Otherwise, it goes to a licensed repair facility in the U.S. or Canada.
- Flat tire change: Help removing a flat and installing your properly inflated spare.
- Battery service: A jump start for a weak or dead battery.
- Lockout service: Help getting back into your vehicle with proper identification. Key cutting or replacement is not included.
- Fuel, oil, fluid, and water delivery: An emergency supply brought to you. You pay only the actual cost of the fuel or fluid.
Trip interruption: If a covered breakdown disables your vehicle more than 100 miles from home, you can be reimbursed up to $75 per day and $500 per occurrence for emergency travel expenses such as hotels, meals, and airline tickets. Trip interruption coverage is not available in California or New York.

If you aren't completely satisfied with your Gold Certified vehicle, you can exchange it one time for another vehicle of equal or greater value within 14 days of purchase.
- No more than 1,000 miles added beyond the odometer reading on your Buyer's Order
- Vehicle has not been titled or registered
- Vehicle has no physical damage
- Subject to lender approval, and you pay any difference in price
Complimentary Loaner Vehicles
Gold and Silver Certified
When your vehicle is in for a service visit, a complimentary loaner helps keep your day on track. Loaners are subject to availability at the time of service, so call ahead to reserve one. Drivers must be 25 or older.
Excluded Vehicles
The majority of our pre-owned cars, trucks, and SUVs qualify for one of the three certification levels, including many hybrid and electric models. Some vehicles are not eligible for the powertrain limited warranty regardless of age or mileage. These include exotic makes, most European luxury brands, and certain high-performance models.
Other common exclusions include:
- Vehicles with 10- or 12-cylinder or rotary engines
- Trucks rated over 1 ton, cutaways, and RVs
- Vehicles used commercially or for ride-hailing services
- Modified powertrains, or suspensions and tires modified beyond allowed limits
- Branded or total-loss titles, gray market vehicles, and inoperative odometers
A vehicle that doesn't qualify may be sold with limited or no warranty coverage. Your sales consultant can tell you exactly what coverage applies to any vehicle before you buy.

Vehicle Service Contracts

Maintenance Plans
Cover routine upkeep such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and multipoint inspections. Plans built for electric vehicles cover items like battery health checks and cabin air filter replacement.
